A workshop for 13 to 19 year olds that looks at the ideas, art and design behind the hit TV show Heroes. Get the chance to create your own cover to a Heroes comic under the guidance of comic book star Staz Johnson, based on the characters from the show. You will also get the chance to win some wonderful prizes!

Talking pictures: Comics, Manga and Graphic Novels. Dr. Mel Gibson will lead a session exploring and sharing sequential art of all genres. This workshop will look at the importance of the comic strip medium, learning about where they come from and how they work. The session will start with Mel talking about material from around the world, followed by an opportunity to look through a collection of titles and to start work on the ‘cover of a comic you’d like to see’.
The session is open to young people between the ages of 12 to 18.
