News has just hit the inter-waves of a mini-con event happening next month at the Travelling Man comic shop in Leeds.
Travelling Man is the premier comics establishment in various cities across the country and is one of the sponsors for this year’s Thought Bubble Festival. The lovely people at Travelling Man have just announced that they will be holding the inaugural ‘We Love Comics’ mini-con on Saturday 5th September at their Leeds branch and they’ve secured some brilliant guests for it. This day of sequential-art fun will be the perfect remedy for any post-summer blues and will serve as a nice warm-up for the TB convention in November: guests appearing are…
Adi Granov (Iron Man Extremis)
Andy Diggle (Losers, Daredevil, Thunderbolts)
Liam Sharp (Special Gears of War graphic novel release signing)
Frazer Irving (Seven Soldiers, Iron Man Inevitable)
Peter Doherty (Judge Death, Shaolin Cowboy, 2000AD)
The mini-con will run from 1pm-4pm and provides an excellent opportunity to meet some of contemporary comics’ top-flight in a more intimate setting…
This year looks set to be a corker for comic related events in the UK so if you can’t make one then you’d be hard pressed to feel left out. Although we’d completely understand, heck we want to go to them all too!
Hopefully see some of you there for a thoroughly fun time… Flame on!
